Beta Participation Terms.

1. Who may participate

You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the BashoTerra beta.

If you enter information about a spouse, partner, child or other family member, you are responsible for deciding what information is appropriate to enter and for having any permission or authority needed to provide it.

2. This is pre-release software

BashoTerra is still under development. Features may change, be removed, behave differently between versions or stop working. The beta may contain bugs or other errors. Records or files may become unavailable, corrupted or lost.

Beta access may also be modified, suspended or withdrawn as the product develops. You should not rely on BashoTerra as your only source of important travel, learning, financial, family or document information.

3. How beta data currently works

The current BashoTerra beta is local-first. Structured app records are stored in browser/device storage, while supported PDFs, images and other attachments are stored locally on the same device using browser-managed storage. BashoTerra does not currently provide automatic cloud backup or automatic family/device synchronization.

Current beta versions include manual export, backup or restore tools for supported records and files. These tools are not automatic cloud backup, and coverage can vary by tool or beta version. Clearing browser or site data, losing or damaging a device, browser-storage limits, software changes or other technical problems may result in data loss.

4. Sensitive information

During the beta, do not upload or enter passports or passport scans, government identification documents or identification numbers, payment-card information, sensitive or complete medical records, passwords or other account credentials, or anything else you cannot reasonably afford to lose.

Keep original copies of travel confirmations, educational records, family documents and other important information outside BashoTerra.

5. Information about children and family members

BashoTerra is designed for family organization, and an adult tester may choose to create records relating to children or other family members. The participating adult is responsible for that information and should enter only what is reasonably necessary for testing and family organization. Children should not independently apply for or agree to participate in the beta.

6. Feedback

The purpose of this beta is real-world testing. We may ask you to share feedback about bugs, confusing workflows, missing features, usability or what worked well.

You allow BashoTerra to use, reproduce, modify and incorporate feedback, suggestions, bug reports and usability comments into BashoTerra and related product development without additional payment, attribution or ownership rights for you in the resulting product or improvements.

This does not mean BashoTerra owns your personal information, family records, documents, photos or other private material simply because you used the beta.

7. Beta tester thank-you

Selected testers receive initial beta access for the test. Testers who genuinely use BashoTerra for approximately one week and complete the requested follow-up feedback will receive continued access to the BashoTerra beta app for a total of six months from the date beta access was first provided.

Completing the beta means making a good-faith effort to use BashoTerra for real travel, learning or family organization during the requested test period and providing the requested follow-up feedback. You do not need to use every feature.

The six-month access applies to one selected household/account, is non-transferable and has no cash value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or a refund. If BashoTerra replaces the beta with a successor BashoTerra service during that period, BashoTerra may provide equivalent access to that successor service for the remaining period.

8. Ending participation

You may stop participating at any time. BashoTerra may also end a tester’s participation or change, suspend or withdraw beta access at any time, including for misuse, abuse, security concerns or if the beta itself is changed or discontinued.

If you stop before completing the requested one-week test and follow-up feedback, the six-month continued-access benefit is not earned.

9. Privacy and communications

BashoTerra’s current privacy practices are described in the Privacy & Beta Information page.

Information submitted through a beta application, beta-administration form, support message or requested feedback may be used to evaluate applicants, administer beta participation, communicate with selected testers, provide beta support, review bugs and usability feedback, and improve BashoTerra.

Applying for or participating in the beta does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications or the general Early Access list. Any marketing or Early Access signup remains a separate choice.

10. Acceptance

By accepting these terms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read these Beta Participation Terms, understand the beta and local-storage risks described above, and agree to participate under these terms.
